Learning French - A New Language To Expand Your Mind

When it comes to learning a new language, the benefits may often be overlooked. Of course everyone sees the travel benefits, and some see the benefits that a new language may have when they can do business in other countries, but too few really see the real benefits to learning a new language. Put simply, learning French (or any other language), is more than just a way to expand your travel prospects, it's an excellent way to expand your mind. Learning French & Your Mind
The often overlooked benefits to learning a language may be ideas you never thought of. For example, did you know that by learning a language like French, you'll also increase your understanding of your own language. It doesn't really stop there though. In fact, there are many benefits to learning a second language. 1. Improved Language Skills - Learning a second language will improve your language skills in general. You'll experience a better understanding of your own language, better insight into language structures, and usually increase your vocabulary in your first language as well as your second.
2. Better Reading Comprehension - It is proven that those who learn a second language well experience better reading comprehension in both their first and second languages. 3. Thanks Trevas. French is one those "romance languages" along with Italian. Maybe someday when I get that chateau in the south of France...
